Drug Purity Report Week 37, 2026
This article has been translated to English.
Drug Purity Report #37/26. Welcome to “last week on drugs”, the series by PRO Test that brings you fresh drug purity news from the clandestine market. This week we are introducing new “Scam of the Week” section, as well as highlight more of the infamous stimulants PMMA, NEP and CMC.
Data fatigue is real, so here we come to give you the gist of what’s going on out there. For more details, photos, and other information on thousands of drugs, head out straight to the DrugsPRO app.
The biggest story of the week continues to be PMMA. This highly toxic compound, a cousin of even more deadly PMA, has been first detected in Europe in February, and ever sine regularly with increasing frequency. Recently PMMA warnings have been upgraded to Red Alert status in the Netherlands, due to many pills, particularly with Trump and Club 555 logos, being confirmed to contain PMMA. We strongly remind to test any substance before ingestion, if choosing to use any psychoactive compound.
NEP and CMC are being missold as mephedrone and 3-MMC – and that is if you are lucky. With new ban on cathinone precursors the game to find “the new mephedrone” has been developing steadily. With roughly 10 different compounds missold as 4-MMC, often in mixtures, 4-CMC and NEP are the most common ones. 4-CMC is a less potent, but similar compound to mephedrone, with strong effects on serotonin and dopamine systems and unknown risk profile. NEP is a much more potent and stronger, strictly stimulatory substance.
Scam of the Week
Samples that were not what they were sold as. Ranked by how much harm the substitution carries, then by how often it turned up.
Scam of the week additional dishonourable mentions: cocaine that came in at 82% phenacetin (11 September, Ljubljana, Slovenia), amphetamine at 9% purity carrying 43% caffeine (7 September, Vienna, Austria), and a sample that mixed 57% 3-CMC with 39% MDMA (9 September, Bern, Switzerland).
Last Week at a Glance
- 94 samples from 4 countries (Austria, Slovenia, Spain and Switzerland) were included this week.
- 78 samples contained a quantified result, including 36 pills and 2 LSD samples.
- 28 samples contained more than one detected ingredient.
- Cocaine was typically 58% this week, against 88% across the twelve months before.
What People Searched For
Below is a list of substances people are searching for in the DrugsPRO app when coming from Google, ordered by how often they were searched over the past week. Something suddenly on the rise can stand out in search interest before it shows up in lab results.

Substances in Focus
Three substances covered in more detail this week: what they are, and how they are dosed and how long they last by route of administration. Doses and durations come from the DrugsPRO library and describe the substance itself, not any tested sample.
PMMA
PMMA, para-methoxymethylamphetamine, is a structural hybrid of PMA and methamphetamine that is sold as ecstasy, historically under logos such as Mitsubishi and Jumbo. Read more on euda.europa.eu
Oral
No dose range is shown for this substance. There is no dose that makes it safe, and drug-checking services advise against taking it at all.
NEP
N-ethylpentedrone offers stimulating and mildly entactogenic effects but little is known about its chronic risks. Reports point to harsh comedowns and strong compulsions to redose, so apply the same caution used with other potent cathinones. Read more on dose.wiki

4-CMC
4-CMC is a synthetic cathinone structurally similar to mephedrone (4-MMC) and para-chloromethamphetamine. Research indicates it is neurotoxic through oxidative stress mechanisms and is more cytotoxic than 4-MMC. Common adverse effects include increased blood pressure, tachycardia, hyperthermia, anxiety, and paranoia. Read more on dose.wiki

Bars are drawn to the same scale within a substance. An open-ended band such as “175+ mg” is shown reaching the end of the scale.
Purity and Content
Below, the big number in each row is the typical result for 7–13 September 2026: half the samples came in stronger, half weaker. The smaller one in brackets is the same thing measured over the last twelve months.
| Samples | Substance | Typical purity / content |
|---|---|---|
| 11 | MDMA | 150mg (158.5mg*) half of samples 122 to 174mg |
| 4 | Cocaine | 58% (88%*) half of samples 43.5 to 67.8% |
